We offer a tiered service of basic, specific specialist and complete specialist assessments based on your needs.
A basic assessment involves a one off appointment to discuss your current difficulties and determine whether a neurodevelopmental disorder or mental health problem might be indicated. This will not provide you with a diagnosis or full formulation but we will be happy to signpost you to services which might be of use, or advise you as to whether further assessment is appropriate or necessary. For more information click here or send us an enquiry.
Specific Specialist Assessment
We can assess for and diagnose specific conditions such as ASD, ADHD, learning difficulties and specific mental health problems (such as anxiety, OCD, depression and trauma). Following the assessment, we will make some recommendations as to what might be helpful for you, whether or not a diagnosis is appropriate. We will recommend further specialist assessment if it is indicated during your assessment (for example for Autism). For more information on specific specialist assessments click here or send us an enquiry.
Complete Specialist Assessment
A complete assessment will consider a variety of explanations for your difficulties and provide you with a formulation (psychological explanation) of your concerns. A complete specialist assessment will consider whether you meet criteria for a range of disorders such as Autism, ADHD, learning difficulties, attachment disorder, speech and language disorders, coordination disorders or a mental health problem. A complete specialist assessment will involve specialist input from a multidisciplinary team. We will make recommendations as to what might be helpful for you based on your personal needs and preferences.
