Psychological Assessment and Neurodevelopmental Screening
A psychological assessment or neurodevelopmental screening involves a one off appointment to discuss your current difficulties and determine whether a neurodevelopmental condition or mental health challenge might be indicated. This may not provide you with a diagnosis or full formulation but we will be happy to signpost you to services which might be of use, or advise you as to whether further assessment is appropriate or necessary. Specific Specialist Assessment for Autism or ADHD
We can confirm and diagnose specific conditions such as ASD, ADHD, learning difficulties and specific mental health challenges (such as anxiety, OCD, depression and trauma). Following a specialist/diagnostic assessment, we will make some recommendations as to what might be helpful for you. We will recommend further specialist assessment if it is indicated during your assessment. The price of a specialist diagnostic assessment varies between £900 and £1900 depending on factors such as age and complexity. Assessments for Autism for young people under the age of 19 years old are typically multi-disciplinary and therefore completed at a higher cost. Combined Autism/ADHD Specialist Assessment
A complete/combined neurodevelopmental assessment will consider a variety of explanations for your difficulties and provide you with a formulation (psychological explanation) of your concerns. A complete specialist assessment will consider whether you meet criteria for a range of disorders such as Autism, ADHD, learning difficulties, attachment disorder, speech and language disorders, coordination disorders or a mental health problem. A complete specialist assessment will involve specialist input from a multidisciplinary team. We will make recommendations as to what might be helpful for you based on your personal needs and preferences. The price for these assessments varies between £2500 and £3000 depending on complexity.
